Battery Saving Mode

Android devices now include a Battery Saving feature which in you turn it on, it automatically activates several power-saving tools. These can a)Restrict the activity of system apps, b) Freeze apps in the background c) Clear cache automatically d) and Turn off services and features with power consumption

Adjust Backlight Brightness

This is the most common and is the most popular way to reduce battery consumption. There are a couple of ways to this, the most common is through Notification Panel where you can adjust the screen brightness easily by sliding the screen of your android phone.

Change the Wallpaper

Try getting rid of your Live Wallpaper. Although it isn’t effective enough to add extra battery juice on your device it can give you a slight difference during your struggling days. Try changing to anything static dark(black) wallpaper as it doesn’t generate much light especially to AMOLED screens which are photo emissive.

Decrease Screen Timeout

It may save you a little amount of battery power which is a lot of help during those hard days. Just think of it, Do you need your screen to stay on for a couple of minutes after you finish using it? By automatically decrease the time your screen timeout, it will save you time to manually switch off before you put it away. Thus, even with notifications from your apps appear it will stay on for what every period you set.

Reduce Update Frequency

Disable Automatic Update on Mobile Data, some apps are constantly updating like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter in which you choose to update it via Mobile Data to actively used it anytime. Just remember to set between apps who are needed to update via WiFi or manually set the Updating of each app.

GPS and Wireless Networks

Having GPS and Wireless Networks turned on will heavily drain your battery like crazy. Given that you have certain apps that are using locations, then, of course, you have no choice but to turn it on. Just remember to turn it off when you are not using it.

Running Background Apps

Another quickest way to reduce battery drain is to stop or prevent certain apps from running in the background. Select Apps that are not necessarily needed for it to run in the system. Tap on each app and stop each one to check what they’re for and then stop any apps that you don’t need to run in the background all the time.
